In line with the major review by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART), Transport for NSW have authorised changes to the bus fares provided by Rural and Regional Bus Operators in NSW which will be effective from 5 March 2018.

In Summary for 2018

  • No change to the  Regional Excursion Daily (RED) of $2.50 
  • Most of our passengers will receive a reduced fare, with the 1 Section Adult fare (Fare Band 1) remaining unchanged at $2.30 and the Child/Concession Fare at $1.70.
  • Only those passengers travelling 16+ sections (Fare Bands 4-10) will have an increase from the current capped fare of $6.00 to the new capped fare of $7.20 this applies to Single Trip Fares Only.
  • A new daily ticket which will allow unlimited daily travel.  The correct daily ticket value must be purchased for the longest single leg of travel.

Buslines Group is the largest bus operator in regional NSW operating twelve depots throughout the state with a fleet of 350 buses and 20 taxis. As part of the Group, Dubbo Buslines operates a fleet of twenty five buses and five taxis servicing Dubbo and the surrounding areas with route and school bus services together with a growing taxi business.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person for a permanent position to be trained in a broad scope of the public passenger industry at our new state-of-the-art facility located in White Street Dubbo.

The role includes organisation and supervision of bus and taxi drivers, network planning, planning of rosters, liaison with schools and other customer groups, regulatory compliance, payroll, charter quotations and bookings and fleet co-ordination. They will also have the opportunity to gain experience across the wider Group.

Bus driving will also be required and we are prepared to assist in training to MR licence level. This is an important aspect of understanding the complete operation.

The successful applicant may have recently completed a tertiary qualification or recently completed the HSC and be willing to undertake a suitable tertiary course.

The applicant must be reliable, well presented, have a willingness to learn, possess a bright personality and the ability to communicate well at all levels. There will be opportunities in the future to progress within the Group.
